Ex-Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh began the new Dutch second-tier campaign by leading his club Fortuna Sittard to a 5-1 home win over FC Dordrecht on Friday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Goals from Lisandro Semedo, Andre Vidigal, Stefan Askovski and a brace from Finn Stokkers sent the Sittard to the top of the Eerste Divisie Jupiler League, after the opening first round of matches despite Gustavo Hamer grabbing a consolatory goal for FC Dordrecht.
Semedo opened scoring in the 19th minute before Stokkers doubled the advantage six minutes later to hand Fortuna Sittard a 2-0 lead into the interval.

In the second half, Stokkers made it 3-0 before Hamer pulled one back for FC Dordrecht, but 10 minutes later it was 4-0 to the home team.
New signing Andre Vidigal made it 4-1 with a back heel goal in the 65th minute. Stefan Askovski sealed the win for Oliseh’s side in the 90th minute of the encounter.

Fortuna Sittard face Jong Ajax in their next game on the 25th of August.

In other results, Jong AZ Alkmaar defeated Den Bosch 3-1 away from home while FC Eindhoven played out a 2-2 draw at home to Telstar. MVV Maastricht edged out Go Ahead Eagles in a seven-goal thriller 4-3, while NEC Nijmegen secured a 3-1 win over Almere City FC.

RKC Waalwijk lost 2-0 at home to FC Emmen just as Cambuur lost 2-1 to Jong Ajax. FC Volendam were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Helmond Sport.
