Angered by the escape of  Ifeanyi Dike, the suspect involved in the gruesome murder   of an eight year old girl  for ritual purpose from the custody of the states Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Protest broken out in Eliozu part of Rivers State, Wednesda, following the escape of the undergraduate who killed an eight year old for ritual in Port Harcourt.

The violent protesters in their hundreds stormed the major road of Eliozu heading to an unknown destination.

The protesters also started a burn fire, breaking bottles in the middle of the road and causing heavy human and vehicular traffic.

The Police have responded with the deployment of personnel to avert breach of peace.

Twenty-three-year-old Ifeanyi Dike escaped from the custody of the State CID in Port Harcourt hours after he was paraded at the Rivers state Police Command Headquarters.

The police has since detained the Inspector, John Bosco who was said to be in charge of the suspect before his escape.
