Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi has been nominated for Arsenal’s Man of the Match award after scoring in the Gunners’ 4-1 home win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
Iwobi’s nomination was confirmed on Arsenal’s official website with the club fans expected to cast their votes for who the best player was.
Other players also nominated are Nacho Monreal, Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil.
Iwobi ended his three-month goal drought after getting on the score sheet against Palace.
He swept in Monreal’s cutback from close range in a crowded Palace box to put Arsenal 2-0.
Monreal who provided two assists, was also on target as he opened scoring while Lacazette made it 4-0.
Ozil had a hand in the fourth goal as his delightful backheeled pass was finished off by Lacazette.
